Lol me too I am a grump when I am hungry I would ask your doctor how they feel about you eating during labor. My last child I ate a whole subway meal when I was in labor and drank a bunch of water and gatorade because I had no iv. But I am allowed to eat during labor again with this midwife. Even if they said they dont want me to I would probably do it anyway just so I dont become evil to those around me. But that's just me

It depends on the hospital in think. Sometimes they don't like you to eat during labour in case you are sick or they need to do emergency c-section or anything. In all honesty you probably won't want to eat, I hadn't had anything for 24hrs when my first was born. The nurses gave me toast but I barely touched it. I have packed however some cereal bars and dried fruit like raisins and a chocolate bar. I've packed a few things for hubby too just so we don't get stung by vending machines when the hospital cafés are shut. Pack anything you like but obviously make sure they're not perishable items lol :)

Absolutely you can. Pack things that don't need refrigeration, like a banana, Apple, granola bars, juice boxes, those snacks packs with crackers and hummus. I figure on two or three snacks for every night I plan to spend in hospital. After all, labor is hard work, and if you plan to breastfeed, you will probably get hungry when the cafeteria is closed. Also, don't feel shy to send your man out for something different if the hospital food doesn't appeal to you. You will have earned it.
