I use to wake up on my back in the middle of the night until About 30 weeks. Even with a pillow behind me..  now at almost 37 weeks I just go from side to side. Primarily on my left but on my right to give my hip/side a rest
And no, your fine with your limbs falling asleep. Its common, I put a flat type pillow in front in me and hug it to keep my arms in place because I too will stuff them under my head and they fall asleep. It kind of tricks my brain I think having them under the one in front of me instead :)

I asked my doctor about this because I sleep on my back and he said it's fine until 24 weeks. That's when the uterus is big enough to be harmful to the blood flow. He said I can use a pillow to prop myself up 15-20 degrees while laying on my back.

My arms fall asleep when I lay on them also but they do that even when I'm not pregnant my husband just says it's because my head is so big. Lol its nothing to worry about just reposition them so your blood can circulate.

This happened a lot with my first pregnancy when I would lay on my arms or hands underneath pillow. I always lay on my sides though. It's pretty common. It is best to lay on your left side though. This pregnancy I've accidentally turned in my sleep and slept on my back and I woke up with horrible stomach cramps/pain. I don't know why but it went away both times.

I would try sleeping on your left side use a body pillow and put a pillow behind you helps me. You must not be far along. I am 29wks and sleeping on my belly is impossible. Only way I can sleep is on my sides. Sometimes I have to switch to the right side cause my left hip hurts. Sleeping on my back is hard to cause it feels uncomfortable. The baby get the best flow of blood if you sleep on the left side:) Good luck momma♡

Yes I'm 34 weeks and lay on my back often, but my arms haven't fallen asleep. You should be fine but shoot the doctor an email to be sure
