Anyone else have high blood pressure?

At my 20 week check up the Dr said my blood pressure is a little high -140/90ish. She told me would keep an eye on it and possibly consider medication at my next appointment if it was still high. Anyone else experience this And if so, what might I expect to happen for the rest of my pregnancy?

My doctor put me on procardia. I only take it when my blood pressure is over 130/80. Normally my blood pressure is normal

I'm 20 weeks and doctor said same to me, at end of appointment after I heard heartbeat and asked my questions I had her take it again and it was back to normal... Nerves and stress bring it up FYI, breath!!!! :0) but I'm still being watched as a had late term preeclampsia with my oldest.

Meds such as labetalol or methyldopa to control BP, increased risk for preeclampsia, and increased fetal surveillance in the 3rd trimester.

Just had a baby in April at 37 3 due to Gestational hypertension and had to be put on meds because mine was 160/90s with meds and bedrest. Just relax as much as you can and they wouldn't give meds if you didn't need em. It's ur and ur baby's life on the line. When you get it early in pregnancy the higher the risk. I'm 2 months now and worry I will get it again.

I have high blood pressure and on medication for it...I also have diabetes so I am high risk and they will monitor it closely.  Every time I go to the Dr it's always elevated because I get nervous when I go...always happened to me. I monitor it at home by checking it everyday and so far I'm healthy and so is baby, I'm almost 16 weeks so I have a ways to go but I try not to worry about complication due to my blood pressure because that makes it worse.

I have the same but instead was told to stop worrying about it. I switch drs after he said that. My mom experience high blood pressure through her pregnancy and they took her out of work and gave her bedrest. I personally wouldnt want to take meds... my moms only solution was to have a c section. But be careful and monitor it
