Has anyone taken nitrofurantoin for UTI infection?
It's probably a symptom of pregnancy. Everybody's different

I started taking antibiotics yday having pain like heaviness in my lower stomach is that normal with Uti?

I had a UTI in the beginning of my first pregnancy and was on this!
Yes I am 19 weeks and my ob put me on it for 1 week
If it's a serious uti they will give you them but lower the amount you take but they don't like you too be on them long, as before pregnancy I had too take them one every night for 6 months then change onto another since being pregnant my urologist has taken me of them , nitrofution can only be taken before 37wks that I do know for sure
That sounds familiar... in the beginning weeks of my pregnancy I had a uti and they gave me some sort of antibiotics. that sounds very familiar.
