yea they aren't very painful and very irregular...but my last pregnancy I never felt/had one contraction I just was lucky enough to have an appt that day and she wanted to check me before I left I had dilated to a 3 1/2 and she sent me to l&d to get that steriod shot in case they came early but the time I got there I was a 5...and ended up having my twins the next day by c section  because they couldn't stop labor the whole time I never felt one contraction

Did they stop at all? Labor contractions usally get stronger & closer together. Its possible id keep an on them if the get closer even 4-5 mins & stronger go in. With my third baby i started having contrations 4 mins apart right away. Went in i was dialating was in labor. buut after i got to 7cm i took a bath & they slowed down to 10 mins apart. Never had that happen to me with any other of my kids. They had to break my water to get things going again. So it is possible but taking hot showers /baths and it stopping are the breaker between false & real labor.

With my second I had several days within a week that I thought I was in labor. I was having painful contractions and I was timing them but they were pretty irregular,  2 or 3 minutes apart then 10 minutes.  I was worried I wouldn't know when it was real labor because I had so many false alarms...but the day I actually went into labor there was nooo question it was time. They were even more painful and much more consistent and they did not ease up at all after a shower (which I took before we left for the hospital)
