I got my results back and she said it wasn't yeast this time. My body is just producing its own stuff down there and not to worry. Lol.
Update! Went to Dr and it was a yeast infection. Got on some meds. Hope it clears up soon!
I've had 1 yeast infection and 1 uti already. I'm almost 28 weeks. I know how you feel :(
I've had several also. Took the meds that they gave me twice and it still came back. My nurse practitioner said there are 4 types of yeast and that the usual meds only treat the most common 2 types so she did a swab test to find out what type of yeast it is. I find out Thursday so I'll keep you posted.
Omg I thought I was the only one I'm losing my mind with these constant bc infections I am 21 weeks n have had two already and am sure I have another. I was prescribed metro gel and it only worked for a little while and I have been using rephresh vaginal gel n that works really good but u have to keep using it and it is $23 a pop! Someone told me eating yogurt is a good way to help balance bacteria and ph so I will be trying that next.
It just itches like a *****. It's also super painful and uncomfortable. I may have a uti, too. I'll find out tomorrow.
Kate042015...I have not had the GD test yet. I think soon. I'm 19 weeks today. I will try the suggestions. I want yogurt daily and I don't think I ingest much sugar. Thank you all so much!!
your pH levels are so out of whack. I had BV 2x in the 16wks I carried my son. and 1x after. It was horrific.
Especially because my fiancé said he didn't notice a smell, so I thought I was losing my mind.
Sperm can set me off down there, as well as beer (after I had him), hard to try to get pregnant if your partners sperm gives you BV, lol!
BUT, I have been without it for 3 mos and now am 4wks along again.
Not looking fwd to infections though, as I think that's what caused my little guy to pass :(
I haven't had one pregnant yet but the birth control i was on caused several. I stopped taking baths, no tampons, switched to all cotton panties and started taking a probioyic and that seemed to work. Another thing is not leaving semen inside of you. make sure you pee after sex. yogurt is a natural probiotic. try those!
I have diabetes and even though my sugars are pretty good I get yeast infections quite often...I try to keep up on eating yogurt regularly and my dr said okay to taking acidophilus pills so I do that and seems to help. Also sleeping without underwear so it can air out...if you have to use monistat I use the suppositories, less mess
I had BV at the beginning of my first pregnancy. This pregnancy(25 weeks) I've had 2 yeast infections. It ***** when you discharge so much already(tmi sorry).
I had them constantly during my first pregnancy (both yeast and bacterial). I'm 6 weeks with my 2nd and i already have my 1st bacterial infection. It's going to be a long 9 months!
With my last preg I had at least 2 yeast infections. I found washing with vagisil ph balance worked. Avoid sugar. Multiple infections can be a sign of GD. Have you had your glucose test yet?
My lay pregnancy I had a constant yeast infection. After giving birth I actually had a yeast infection in my arm pits that lasted over a year. My doctor said it had to do with all the hormones changing how my body reacts.
