insurance

I'm 12 weeks and haven't seen any Dr yet because I'm waiting on the market place to approve insurance I'm so frustrated I've had a miscarriage before so I'm extra nervous. Has anybody els felt with insurance problems with the marketplace?

They said they could go ahead and see me but they want $1000 since I'm not approved yet

You don't need to wait to be approved to see a Dr. Go to a clinic that accepts Medicaid and go there. Once you are approved, you can forward your bill through your plan. Any place that accepts medicaid should be on your coverage. Then, even if you're not approved, Medicaid can take over. Talk to the clinic billing office before to be sure.

Contact your local dept of human services and apply for medicaid. They have a pregnancy temporary medicaid that will cover you immediately and if you qualify for medicaid they will go back to the beginning of pregnancy so go see the dr and tell them you are waiting approval. You really should be seeing a dr during this time if nothing else than for peace of mind

In my experience with the marketplace, don't wait around. I applied TEN times and no one could figure out why my applications were becoming corrupt. After three months of applying I went to BCBS and bought a plan for $100 less per month and a deductible of only $1,000.
