weight gain

I'm 27 weeks and have gained 36lbs :/ I was hoping not to gain more than 30 all together. The worst part is every one keeps telling me I don't look pregnant yet which makes me feel like I just look fat. this is my first pregnancy and I've always battled with being over weight.... started at 170. I'm hoping this will just be motivation to lose it after baby is here.

I know how you feel hun. I started at 258 and have gained 21 and I'm at 27weeks too. I've always struggled with losing and hope for the same. I'm told breastfeeding really helps with losing the weight.
I always plan in exercising and doing everything I can to control the weight but I'm normally so exhausted and barely make it to 5pm without passing out. I'm hoping swimming with baby and come spring walking with baby will help.

I was 170 as well, I'm 30 weeks and am 198. I'm so bummed. I lost 50 pounds before I became pregnant. I was hoping to keep it off. I just keep thinking what a great cause it's for, right along with the stretch marks.

I gained 70 lbs with my first. It took about 6 months, but I lost it all. This time I'm 28 weeks, and I've gained 24 lbs. People tend to gain the most in the last trimester. But you have to remember, it took 9 months to put it on, so expect at LEAST 9 months for it to come off! You'll be fine. Your baby will be worth all the weight gain/insomnia/pain we all go thru. :)

I know how you feel ladies same dilemma I'm in. Before i was prego i lost alot of weight from having a fat paced job and wanting that summer body  but then God decided it was time. Sadly ive dissaponuted myself by gaining double the weight and im now 27wks. I haven't gotten many stretch marks yet but oh theyll show up sooner or later..I'm trying to control my cravings but my sweet tooth always defeats me. But once me and Navy are good im going to start over again and be fit again!

I put on 22lbs by week 29, I'm now just over 30wks and I haven't increased on that so I'm hoping it keeps plateauing for a bit. Just stay optimistic about all the walks you're going to take bub on once he's born to lose the weight. In the meantime it's not too late to start going on small walks each day, it helps your body de-stress as well as tone up a bit and it'll have you in better shape for birth and recovery.

Same here, this is my first pregnancy. I lost a good 10-15lbs before since we planned to have a baby, before I knew it I had gained 20 lbs by my second trimester and I eat pretty healthy too. Mostly fruits veggies and protein. Im now 27 weeks and have gained almost 40 lbs mostly my belly and thighs now. I can't imagine gaining another 10-12 lbs this last trimester. I'm already at 182!

I would love to be more active but after work I hardly have enough energy to cook dinner. I have noticed the past few days I feel bloated and I'm starting to get heart burn/acid reflux so maybe that alone will help me with portion control. I know this baby girl is worth every pound :)
