is it safe to eat corndogs while pregnant?

Hi everyone :)

I am almost 8 weeks prrgnant and today i bought and ate a corndog and 1/2....
Now i am worried that it is not safe because of the hot dog that is inside.  Please help...

I'm Australian, what's a corndog? It sounds terrible lol. I don't even know what it is but it sounds like you shouldn't eat it, even if you weren't pregnant. Hot dogs are just the scraps of meat swept off the abattoir floor & covered in sauce so you don't realise you're actually eating dog food. Ewwww x 1000!!

Actually,  corndogs are fully cooked so it doesn't matter at all whether you reheat them or not.  You can look on the package and check if they're completely cooked.

The problem with corn dogs is they're full of nitrate preservatives,  which aren't healthy to eat.  One or two here and there won't harm you but you dont want to make a steady diet of them.

I bought it at a deli and its hot food ready to eat... so should I not worry ?

It's only bad if the hot dog isn't cooked or eaten straight out of the package. As long as it's thoroughly cooked it is fine.
