is it true???? Anyone has experienced this??

Well,  since I have lots of Braxton hicks contractions for several weeks now,  (ended up in hospital overnight in my 28week- but i was ok, closed and all) i did lots od research on it and came across something interesting!
I found some forums where 2nd time mommies were telling how if you have lots of BH contractions during pregnancy it basically is a good sign that labor is going to be short and not super duper painful and contractions are just very efficient because of all the practice contractions .
Can any of you back this up or heard a story ?? Anything? ?
What do you think?

With my first i started dilated to four and started having contractions at 34 weeks. They didnt stop until i delivered at 37 weeks. My labor was 6 hrs 15 min and i pushed about 30 min. My second i was put on bed rest at 27 weeks because i was dilated to one and contracting. The contractions continued until 38 weeks when i delivered and my labor was 3 hrs and i pushed for 20 minutes. So i suppose it could be true?

I didn't get them worth my first or third and my labor was 12 &13hrs each. However, with my second one I had bh everyday for at least the last month and had him in about 5hrs. So I would say that it is true based on my experience.

Yes @meckayla they can be really really  uncomfortable, for some even a bit painful.  But if you can talk and walk through them don't worry too much ...
I have them also all day long and at night they wake me up often because they are making me get up to pee. .. it s.ucks but I'm kind of thankful for them as I want to belive they will make my labor quick :-)

Ftm's usually don't feel them!  Some don't even have them;  but more likely would be that you didn't feel it because they don't normally hurt , it tightens your belly muscles ....

There is a chance i could go into labour before then as im a high risk pregnancy and my baby is far too big.at first they wanted me to have a vbac delivery, but now i have spd, baby is far too big, and ive alot of fluid and although im 36wks im measuring at 41wks so they have to bring me in at 39wks for a section. By then my baby could be over 10lb. My first was a tiny 6lb2oz at 41wks.this baby is already nearly 8lb and im only 36wks.

I dunno how true that is but i had ALOT of BH thru most of my pregnancy and i ended up having a csection because i never dialated at all. My water had broken in the middle of the night and baby had decided to go poopie before she was born lol...so it wasnt long before doc just said to have a csection cuz of the risk of her swallowing some.

@tinkerbella32 that's too bad! Is there a chance if you go into labor by yourself to have natural birth or no?

Yes! I seriously hope this is true , I'm ftm and Ive been experiencing these BH for a long time,   day/night, so I can't wait to share my birth story (hoping for the natural)... Also I'm drinking rasp leaf tea so i won't know for sure which one will do the trick haha

Id say that is true.im on my 2nd baby and im 36weeks and im getting them every day and night every few hours, i have been getting them from around 25 weeks but now im getting them more and more, sometimes with period pain cramps in my back and front, but they are not regular. Id say they are really preparing u second time round and making it easier.i will never know for sure as my first was an emergency c-section and this time my consultant is bringing me in at 39wks for another one.so possibly wont get to go into labour at all this time.

Never heard this either, but I hope it's true. .. lol. I know is good to get them though because they prepare your body for labor.
