is it okay to paint???

I wanted to paint my hallway tomorrow... someone said it's bad to smell the fumes. Is this true? Its just regular paint from home depot.

My midwife told me to use the extra time when I was going over with my last to paint her room. She said it would make me feel better and pass the time. The Dr I had before her also said it was ok.

Just make sure its latex not oil based, and located VOC is better...the more color you add, the more voc's (volatile organic chemicals) you add. And previous posters were right about ventilation.

If its well ventilated then yes I just painted my daughters room, next is the kitchen,living room and hallway :)

Last pregnancy my doctor told me it was fine as long as i paced myself and the area was well ventilated.  So open a window and use fans.  Have fun!
