They are called kegels to tighten the pelvic floor muscles. Same muscles used to stop the flow of urine. Try tightening them for 10 seconds then release. Repeat

Yeah that's normal. Often I'm just pulling up my pants after using the toilet & I feel like I need it again but there's no way I have an infection or that I'm going into labour. Just make sure you do pelvic floor exercises constantly because it helps with recovery & preventing any accidents when you sneeze/cough/laugh. Plenty of gentle exercise helps with pain levels during labour & birth also recovery time is reduced. Good luck & take care.
