itchy belly

I am now 38+1 weeks and my belly around and below my belly button itches so bad. I drink so much water and apply moisturizer four times a day now. I'm trying not to scratch but it's becoming so very annoying. Any options or things that work for any of you ladies? Please share.

I use olive oil for my hair, nails and to remove my eye makeup and never once thought of using it on my belly. I will try it, I hope it helps.

Well I'm glad I read this, I didn't know itching it causes stretch marks! Ahh! Hopefully I didn't do too much damage.

This may sound strange but if u have some olive oil in the kitchen use some to massage into ur belly. It really does help

Thanks ladies someonee mentioned to me at church about using only the fingertips to massage the belt when itchy. Well  I missed that memo. I have noticeably  larger stretch marks now because of the scratching. Now my belly has been itching non stop. The only thing that helps is water. I feel like I should sleep with an ice pack

What if u take like a hair brush or something and softly rub that area with the bristles? Obviously you don't want to do it too hard because of stretch marks but it may help.

Definitely keep using cream but at this point its probably the intense stretching that will only be relieved once baby comes. Your body is just getting to the limit now.

Yea I was just thinking an oil  may stick better. What brand of Shea butter do you use? Whipped or solid?
