I've been bleaching my hair when my roots come in all the time. I've done it the whole way and my baby is absolutely fine!
Just make sure the area is well ventilated as well it stinks haha. I'm positive your absolutely safe to do it :)

As a hairstylist,  I have to say it's funny that they say no coloring during 1st trimester. If it's the amonia, how is it safe for a stylist to do her job while pregnant? ! My Dr said the main reason they tell.ypu not to is twofold.  1, they want to rule out all possibilities if baby is born w a defect and  2, a very small amount CAN be absorbed into your bloodstream if you let the color touch the scalp. We were also taught that in cosmetology school...that's why we wear gloves...it not just to keep our hands pretty. I have been coloring my hair and doing about 10 to 15 colors a week since b4 i got pregnant.  Be smart and make sure you are in a well ventilated area. I never got sick from the smell but that may be bc I'm use to it. ;) I hope this helps...

I did mine a few weekends ago & everything is fine Judy make sure there's a fan or window open or something so the smell can get out.

I've dyed mine through both pregnancies. My Dr said to make sure I'm in a well ventilated area. The first time I dyed my roots I was 10 weeks. But I only get roots touched up, nothing more. And whisper is right, my roots had a washed out look in about a week.

It's safe it's just the ammonia can aggravate your morning sickness. But I wouldn't recommend wasting money dying your hair because during pregnancy your hair usually won't hold the dye more than few days. Done been there I tried 3 times to get color to hold and it only held 3 days and then it was gone. Highlights work and bleaching works but not the same as when your not pregnant.

Im pregnant with my third kiddo and have had my hair done all through out all three pregnancies. Its fine, just make sure you're in a ventilated area. Plus my mom is a hair stylist and she would never do anything that she thought could harm her grandbabies or anyone elses for that matter.

You know, i asked the same thing. Im really going crazy with my hair. Alot of people told me the first trimester is a complete no no. And anytime after that a ammonia free dye is fine. But at the end of the day my mommy instincts wont take the risk. I have no proof it will damage the baby on any level but if in the future, if (God bless her) anything goes wrong, i can say i did everything in my power to make sure she is healthy 100%. And that guilt of dying my hair or wanting to do anything such, wont be possible.

They say it's not safe during the first trimester so if you can wait one more week then you can go for it :)
