just looking for opinions

I have a friend who just found out she's pregnant. I don't know for sure how far along she is but I want to say she's 10-11 weeks now I believe. Well she was spotting a couple weeks ago (brown not pink or red), she brushed it off ago happening because it was that time of month when she would normally have a period. She doesn't have insurance so I told her to call a hospital and ask what she should do. They told her it was probably nothing to worry about but she should b probably get checked within the next day or two. She never did. It went away but she started spotting again about a week ago also brown and again brushed it off. I'm really concerned for her but she doesn't think it's anything major. Then the creepy thing is she told me her son came into the room pretending to carry something telling her to look and when she asked what it was he said "my dead baby brother" with a sad look on his face. If that were me I'd be freaking out and go to and hospital to be checked. Anyone have any opinions? Is her spotting normal? She's had cramping but other than that she hasn't said there's been any other problems I just worry about her.

I've had brown spotting 2x with this pregnancy my first ended in a miscarriage. Well I called my ob both times and she wasn't concerned. The 1st most likely from sex and the 2nd I had a vaginal scan the day before. Brown is just old blood. As long as she's not cramping she should be fine.

Catholic hospitals will see her and will not go after her for payment. As a Catholic I say taken full advantage of that, they have funding just for that reason and it's what it's there for. I also think it sounds fine but she should get a professional check and some peace of mind! There are a lot of women clinics around (not pp, ones that actually provide prenatal care, usually independent organizations) that will see her for little to no cost as well.

Thanks I'm really hoping her and baby are ok. I'm fixing to have my third baby and never bled with any of my pregnancies so when she told me she was spotting it really had me concerned for her. If it were me I wouldn't brush it off either but that makes me feel better knowing it's probably nothing.

Either way she needs to see a Dr. There are places that can see her for free or at least low prices. I wouldn't brush it off but that's just me.

If it was pink or bright red then its something to worry about the brown is old blood prob from her last period or something the cramps are from her uterus growing I've had two misscarriages and one stillborn and had my fair share of quetions for the drs but brown isn't bad if it goes to pink or red then yes deff worry ...hope that helps

I've spotted, we went to the er because I've also miscarried but the baby was just fine. It can be normal but I'm not the type to just brush it off.
