I've been induced at 37 weeks before and my boys have come out healthy. This pregnancy by far is the worse for me and yes I'm well aware that the baby comes when he's ready. I'm just frustrated and these pains to help any just wanted to see if that was true

My hospital doesn't unless you are past your due date or have a medical reason. Scheduled c-sections cannot by law be scheduled at my hospital until 39 weeks.

Research is showing that babies who are born at 37 weeks have issues similar to premature infants. They are called the great pretenders because they are typically average sized but they are not fully developed.  They typically lack the fat pads needed to sustain a latch. They tire quickly and their temperature regulation is not as good as a full term baby. 37 weeks is no longer considered full term for these reasons.

Every hospital has their own rules in place they follow. Each doctor on top of that could have their own rules. Babies come on they're own when they're developed enough to. I don't see why you need to induce so early without medical reasons. Pregnancy is uncomfortable,  we know that going in. It *****, but the best option for your baby is for you to wait longer.

I think it just depends on your doctor and your hospital. My doctors office has big signs everywhere that states the Hopitals policies on inducing before 39 weeks which is they wont unless medically they have to. I have seen them since my first appointment so it isn't a surprise. No hospital in our area will induce before 41 weeks with your first and 39 with any after that.
