When should I visit the dr.?

Hi. I'm currently 6wks pregnant with my first (and unplanned) pregnancy. So, I'm not as exactly mentally prepared as I'd like to be. When should I see the Dr.for the first time?

Thanks!

I'd call right away...they got me in within a week and come to find out I was high risk so they needed to keep a close eye on me

I went to hospital to check out what's wrong with me, I was soooo weak & throwing up, etc. I did 3 pregancy tests all positive. Part of me didn't believe it, and went to hospital. The nurse did urine & told me I was pregnant. At this time I was like 6 weeks, they didn't do anything, except urine test & tell me I was 6 weeks. I saw obgyn at exactly 9 weeks & he did vaginal ultrasound. You can wait until 9 weeks or so.

I call right away and make an appointment and just tell the receptionist that I have a positive pregnancy test. It is taking me 6 weeks to get in with my established OB for my first visit for this pregnancy.
