Induction Question

When induced, are most women likely to have a vaginal birth or cesarean? I'm scheduled to be induced this week but I'm afraid that it could come down to a cesarean. My first child was a vaginal one. Ideally I would love for my second baby to come the same way. Any induction stories out there? Please help :/ Kinda nervous.

Don't be nervous God willing you and baby will do wonderful :) 2nd is always easier and so on I've heard!! Plus if you've already had  vaginal one it will be alot easier and likely your induction will work

I've had both of my kids being induced...it all went smooth for me with no complications to me or my babies...if I had to I will do it again.

It depends on how you and your baby handle it. Pitocin can cause baby's heart rate to drop which can lead to an emergency c-section.

I was just induced on Saturday. It takes a little longer to go thru labor but I had him vaginal. My first baby I was induced as well and he was vaginal too. Just make your body prepared for birth. Walk more and have a little sex before you go in if you can and it should progress fine. Congrats and good luck mama!

I had a great induction with my first and am considering it again with my second. Theres always a risk of maybe needing a section but your body did it once before, it can totally do it again. I am no expert but have noticed that inductions that are done when some signs of delivery have started naturally (ie thinning of cervix or dilation), tend to be more successful with vaginal delivery. Good luck!

It really depends on how your body responds to the pitocin. Since this is your second baby and you've already delivered vaginally I'd say this one will probably be the same. Also since it's your second your labor will go quicker than your first.
