membrane strip?????

So I've been dialated to 2cm for the past couple weeks and went to the doc today she did a membrane strip and was wondering what it is supposed to do...oh and I'm 38+4 getting induced on the ninth

I had one done with my daughter and had her 7 hours later. Try walking and doing squats and see if that helps you now that they did the membrane sweep.

I had mine stripped twice and went 9 days over when I got induced but my Dr says she doesn't think my body knows how to labor

It doesn't always work.... some women it's only a few hours and they're in labor ,others go past their due date. Good luck!

Oic...well it has done nothing for me...lol...just caused more discomfort...this baby sure is stubborn...not even feeling any contractions....=/

It's a kick start to labor. It supposed to at off your hormones to begin labor. Only works if your body and your baby are ready. I had it done on my due date with my first and my son was born 12 hours later. :)
