I see everyone gets induced differently too because my doctors just gave me straight pitocen no pills or gel to make me dilate and it only took about an 1 hr for contractions to start and about 4 to dilate to 5 from 0

My 1st baby was easy painful but easy 16hrs of labor and 29min of pushing ..2nd baby I got induced it was easier then the 1st 17hrs 6mins of pushing and I got the epidural both times .... and I dont think pitocen makes contractions any harder then if u got them naturally ... I can honestly say my natural contractions hurt worse then when I got pitocen but everyone is different

I was induced. I went in at 6am and by 7 am I had my IV in and they had inserted these pills into my cervix every 4 hours to try to dilate me but that didn't work. So after about 12 hours of being in "labor" and dilated only 2 cm the doctor came in and broke my water and literally 20 minutes after he broke it, I started getting contractions. About 5 hours later they started the pictocin which made the contractions start (which literally felt like really really bad period cramps happening every minute and a half) and I was dilated to 4cm and was so scared I was going to have to get a C-section. About an hour after that, I asked for the epidural (it helped but I still felt pressure) and another hour passed and I was fully dilated and ready to push but first they had to but a catheter in me so I wouldn't urinate while pushing, but I didn't feel it because I was so numb. I pushed for 20 minutes and proudly delivered an 8lb 1oz baby boy. I tore really bad so I had to get stitched. The only thing that I think sucked worse than labor was the recovery... I had gotten some sleep but 4 hours later after they came in to take the epidural out, so they pulled it out and told me to get up from the bed but to keep my legs straight and locked and the nurses walked me to the bathroom and I passed out (I guess that's why you keep your legs locked) but I couldn't pee and noticed that my vagina was so swollen that it looked like I had a penis and testicles (it will happen when you vaginally deliver) but I had to get another catheter put in me and that was the worst because I regained feeling down there. The only thing you should keep your mind on is taking in deep breaths so I can push hard, and focus on getting your baby out. That's what I kept my mind on and it was fast and it will be one of the most amazing moments and one of your most proud moments because technically you are delivering the baby on your own (pushing), the doctor is just there to make sure he/she gets out safely and to take care of you after you are done.

I got induced with pitocin so the contractions were a lot harder than wat they should be I also was scared of pain an that's all I could think of so that didn't help and I had too many people in my room lol so they were driving me nuts....so I got the epidural and yes it slowed down my delivary but it didn't hurt it was a challenge to push cause u can't feel ur abdomin ut everything was fine and I had a beautiful baby girl... now I'm ganna have another one I'm going to do it without the epidural this time just don't think about pain and don't be scared of it other wise that's all u will feel is the pain...
