first pregnancy

Any suggestions on what to do to keep your feet's from swelling and aching? It seems like I can hardly fit into my shoes or walk like I want too.

Watermelon and warm water with lemon juice in addition to all the above. Both are diuretics.

I wear scrubs for work so I switched to crocs, i wear fluffy socks with no elastic, more roomy. I drink lots of fluids no salts or sweets for me. I move around every 2 hours at work if I'm on desk duty. If I'm on my feet I take my 15 min break and sit. At the end of each day I elevate my feet for 2 hours. Use pillows when I go to bed. I'm 37 weeks 3 days and thank you dear God. Have not become swollen. I'm praying it stays that way, so far so good. Hope this helps you.

Elevate and water like the ladies above said. I can tell when I haven't drank enough water and am eating too much salt bc my legs get horrible.  Doesn't help I stand all day for work but I only have 10ish days left...only 3 working days. I soaked my feet in cool water yesterday to help w the pain from the swelling...worked good until I started moving around again. Good luck!
