induction

Sorry for the rant before I get to my question!

I am 33 weeks, and am on blood thinners because I am prone to blood clots. I am a bigger woman, and thankfully do not have g.d. my baby is weighing in on the larger side. My delivering ob told me we will induce as early as 37 weeks because they don't want me to go into labor naturally. She told me to talk to my specialist and find out when they advise for me to get induced.

I saw a different  Dr. at my specialists office yesterday than I've been seeing, and she royaly pissed me off. She said that she never advises anyone no matter the situation to be induced before 39 weeks. And she wants to read test me for g.d. I've decided against the g.d. testing again, but the induction thing just pissed me off!

If you've been induced, how far along were you and what was the reason? I go to my delivering ob tomorrow and will talk with her but I want some more information
Thanks ladies!

I was induced at 38 weeks x2 because I can't deliver without induction. I found out the hard way By losing one at 44 yes 44 weeks. The first one said I was a first time mom I had no clue on conception date Or last period so they blew me off when I raised hell I was overddue. Now they induce early. They say my placenta brakes down fast.

I'm being induced but not until 39 weeks. I've heard of women being induced earlier due to medical issues. And I was induced with my first son because he was late.

I was induced at 41 weeks because baby didnt want to come. I wasn't dilated or efaced. She weighed in at 7lb 12 oz. I'm sorry for what she said. Every doctor is different on what they feel comfortable doing. I'm glad you're seeing your delivering OB. Good luck!
