I'm in the same boat. I'm due Wednesday. At my appointment Thursday I wasn't dilated any so I go in Wednesday if I haven't had him by then and we'll.set up my induction for either Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

Well I'm due Tuesday and when i went to my appointment Thursday i wasn't dilated at all so i have to go back on my due date to see if I'm going to be induced. I just want to know what to expect. I hope i don't have to be induced since i hear it hurts more?

I was started on pitocin at 9:00pm and didn't deliver until 8:10 pm the next day so it's very different for everybody

With me they put a perssari in my cervix at midnight.  By 3am I was in agony and 4cm dilated. The contractions can be more intense and as your body dosnt build up to them naturally it can be harder to deal with...so I had an epidural. My daughter was born at 3pm that day. I have to be induced again as I am almost 2 weeks late! I really wanted a water birth. Have you a date for your induction?  Your be fine and every woman is different. ..

They inject you with Pitocin a version of the hormone your body makes to triggers labor. The time varies greatly for every woman.
