Walking While Pregnant

I heard that besides intercorse, walking while pregnant can help open your cervix .. Is That True And If So When Should I Start Walking ?! Cause I'm 23 Weeks Pregnant With My First Child And I Do ALOT Of Walking But My Doctor Said That My Cervix Is Still Completely Closed And It Should Be Starting To Open

Y should your cervix be opening at 23 weeks that's just half way to your due date?  Besides your supposed to walk and exercise during pregnancy it's very good for you and baby. Im just over 19 weeks in second pregnancy and walk 2 miles everyday pushing my toddler in a stroller. And I do prenatal yoga.
And most first time Mom's go over their expected due date.
