massage in the first trimester

I just got a massage. I did inform the masseuse that I am 8 weeks pregnant. She said it was fine that she was just going to avoid my lower back. Now my fiance and mom are freaking me out telling me it causes a miscarriage and that I should have waited. I'm very upset! I didn't know this is my first pregnancy. After I cried my eyes out while reading posts online I'm trying to calm down but can't bare the thought of me being the cause of my baby's heart stopping. I don't know what to do. What can I do? Will it harm my baby?

Your mom and fiancé are crazy. You told the therapist. I had prenatal massages all through my pregnancy with my first. It was the best!! Everything will be absolutely fine.

You're fine. Calm down. The lady said its fine and she avoided the place not to do it and if you aren't cramping and bleeding you're fine. Don't let others scare you.
