maternity at work

Hello ladies I'm currently 12 and wanted to see when will be the best time to tell at work that I am pregnant. I'm overweight so not showing yet or hiding some what well. When did you tell your manager at work that you are expecting?
Thank you

I told them as soon as I found out so I could start planning for the future, learn maternity options, and give everybody fair notice that I'll be out 3 months so we can prepare for that now. Also so I could avoid heavy lifting and explain sickness and needing frequent snacks etc without bother. But I work with a great and close knit team of people so there was no reason to hide it.

I told work about 8 weeks. I was high risk from the get go. They modified my duties until I passed 12 weeks

I told my boss at 26w. I'm tall, wide hips,  and long torso so they couldn't tell. Plus I recently got the job at 20w since my SO and I had moved back to CA and I needed something quick. Didn't tell them in my interview in fears they wouldn't hire me but just tell them when you're ready. I'm 30w today and I still doubt many think I'm pregnant and now just think I've gained a bit and just look chunky lol

Here you have to tell 3 months before due date to be able to get maternity leave. The rest is up to you.  I waited for someone to notice.  A colleague had to tell early as she couldn't stand some smells that are a part of our job.

I didnt tell my boss until i was 29 weeks. He said that he had heard the rumor but didnt know I was that far a long. So its really up to you. I didnt say anything because I didnt want to be treated differently or play the sympathy card.

I told my boss a few days after I found out partially because of nausea and partially because my previous pregnancy was a miscarriage so if I called her and something bad was going on I wouldn't have to explain for the beginning.

I waited for my 2nd trimester to start to tell anyone, other than the babys father. Only because i was very scared of the worse possible things happening. Im also an overweight girl. And i work in the healthcare field. So its really when your comfortable to tell.

I ended up telling at 9 weeks because I got a chemical burn at work and didn't know what to do so I told them. It's all up to you and When you feel comfortable to tell them.

I actually had to tell my job right away because I was so sick and had to call in or run out of the room.  I had so many issues I'm the beginning I resigned.
