I'm not sure that the tea helps you go into Labour or will cause early Labour, I think the baby will still come when it's ready. But I think it does help prepare your cervix to stretch and like some others said maybe help make Labour easier.
I also started at week 32!
And yes, there is a difference between the raspberry and the leaf :-)
Normally you should talk to your ob about taking anything , because if you do a research many are against this herbe because it causes contraction ....
Ive always stared at 32 weeks (my eldest is 13 thas wot they recommend back then) so ive just stuck with it! Ive always had quick easy labour's 2 so ill b drinking it again now im on #4 :-) just start with a cup a day for say a week then then increase gradually :-)
I belive it did help me... my contractions were useful (i want to say that for a ftm i was opening pretty quickly) and i was so thankful for that! After the strong contractions srarted it took about 3 hours until everything was over.
I have been drinking it here and there since getting pregnant and started taking Dr. Christopher's Birth Prep at 36 weeks. It's a herbal supplement that has a bunch of good herbs for your uterus and control bleeding at birth, including red raspberry leaf. It's supposed to help you have a fast labor and on time.
So did any of you drinking it see positive effects? And did it put You in early labor?
I started drinking 2 or 3 cups a day at 36 weeks.
And dont get confused- its raspberry leaf tea :-) good luck!
With my 1st pregnancy i started drinking at 32-33 weeks!
It helps get the cervix ready for birth I belive you can start drinking it now. I've started drinking it at 35
Why are you drinking raspberry tea?? Is interesting are there some benefits?
After 12 weeks I drank teas mixed with red raspberry leaf and other ingredients two times a day. After 28 weeks I started drinking pure red raspberry leaf. I try to drink 4 a day but usually end up only drinking 2 or 3.
