medical clearance or against medical advice??

So my doctor wants to take me out of school for 8+ weeks after I deliver, mind you this is my graduating semester. I graduate in Dec. I feel 2 weeks will be okay for me to heal up and at least go back to school. I'm still taking off work. Because of this, I lost my scholarship for this semester and my school said I need a clearance before coming back (I can only miss 2 weeks) but my Dr isn't hearing me out, all she says is she doesn't want to be liable if something happens to me. Can anyone give me advice on what I can do? I was even thinking about going ama. I want to go back and finish, not wait until June 2014. Everything is riding on my Dr: scholarship, returning to school, graduation. I feel she should at least hear me out and let me try. :(

Technically no. But it is always possible.

Can she speak to them behind my back and have them not give me a medical clearance too?

You can ask for another dr in the practice. They may be more understanding

I went back when my third was 4 weeks.  I would try to talk to your dr again.
