Ugh i had the same problem when I switched offices!  Luckily my new office stayed on top of it and called and called and called until the old office finally released them. I even signed two different release forms before they finally did it. Legally they have to but they can be total butts about it first. Just keep nagging them.

Also, be aware that if you want the records released to you personally they may charge 50+ dollars... but they should be free if transfered from hospital to hospital/doctor

At the hospital I used to work, medical records had a 14 day turn around time.  If you requested them 3 weeks ago then I'd call medical records at your old hospital & pester them... the squeaky wheel gets the grease.

You have a right to get your own medical records I agree go to your old dr and fill out the release of information papers and you can get them right away. Then you just provide the records to your new doctor.  Hope this helps.

Go go to your old doctors office and request they release them to you... by HIPAA law they have to.
