membrane sweep?

Im 33 weeks today!! Wohoo getting closer. The other day I was discussing with my dr about ways to help induce labor. She said we can do a membrane sweep and it will help make contractions, my question is anyone who has had it, Does it hurt when they do the sweep? What does it feel like, and did it help induce labor???

I've had close family and friends do it. Some it didn't do anything and they were induced sometime later. Others they went into labor within hours. I think it's good to try once you're past 40 weeks and before trying induction. Good luck!

With my first daughter I had her 24 hrs after my sweep and this time around I've had 2 sweeps and nothing so it could go eather way! I was hoping for the same results as last time but nope! And it doesn't hurt well mine didn't anyway it didn't feel any different then just getting my cervix checked! I guess it just depends on how that makes u feel!
