Water Birth?

Is anyone considering having a water birth or has had one?  I always said I wanted one but to actually be pregnant I don't know now.  Plus my financial situation isn't what I thought it would be and now I'm using medicaid.  Is it costly? What made you do it or makes you want to do it?

I enjoyed the water birth more than my two inductions. I will say that the moment the 'I don't think I can do this' thought comes into your head, you ate almost done.

It's worth the money although my insurance covers water birth.

We have universal health care through the NHS so I won't have to pay but I can understand your query if you have to pay I mean what if you got in the water and hate it, but from what I have heard it is very relaxing and natural x

My last was waterbirth and was awesome. It help with the pain a lot. I will be doing water birth with this one too hopefully. I did it because it was natural and has great benefits for me and baby. It is an easier transition for baby...

My sister did it with her last 2 out of 4. She said it was so much easier and much more relaxing.

I tried with my 3rd but couldn't deal with the pain. I plan on really trying with this baby. Its much more relaxing and natural in my opinion and i always wanted to do it. I also have medicaid and the hospital that i am delivering at offers water births. It doesn't cost any more or less than a normal birth. You might check hospitals or birthing centers in your area that offer it.
