help! feeling anxious

So this is my first pregnancy and I love being pregnant and feeling my baby girl kick and move around. It just dawned on me that I only have 39 days left until she's due. I'm just feeling really anxious about being a new mom, being a good mom, labor, how life is about to change forever. I'm just freaking out a little. I love her so much I just want to be the best I can for her. Have any of you felt/feel the same?

It's normal to feel that way. I felt that way with my first but once she was born, my life only became a million times better. Yes, things changed but not in the way I expected. I thought I wouldn't be able to paint my nails again or showed regularly, etc. I still do all those things just in a different way. Parenthood is not something you can prepare for, you just take it one day at a time and you adjust over time. Things change but your happiness level goes through the roof and you will wonder what you ever did without your little one.

Thank you ladies! You made me feel so much better. I think being a first time mom I don't know what to do. But as mentioned it will come naturally :)

Absolutely normal. This is my 3rd pregnancy and I still feel anxious. My first baby I was driving myself around the bend worrying what to do and how I was going to cope but as soon as my son was in my arms it all just came naturally like I had been doing it for years. Yes I still worried and still do worry. Women are born worriers I think esp when it comes to our children. You will be completely fine and a brilliant mummy :-)
