What are some things you can do for migraines??? I have always suffered from migraines and as of today am totally off my daily meds that help keep migranes away.  Also I can't take my rescue meds.  What are some pregnancy safe remedies as I'm in 2 day of a migraine and hating life

I am the same way I was diagnosed with chronic headaches and migraines a long time ago when I was 11 and I have them everyday and ill be 19 in 2 weeks so the only thing that helps mine is rubbing the back of my neck with lotion and to take a very hot shower and let it hit my head for about 30 minutes

Thanks so much. I'm hoping to find relief soon.  I go to the dr Monday so hopefully he can help.  I am just so afraid of everything right now.  This is an infertility pregnancy after years of trying :)

I have been struck with killer migraines only since being pregnant! The worst one lasted a few days and sent me tk the ER. It was like my head was being struck with a hammer ever time I took a step, blinked, spoke. I could feel my heart in my head like an anvil falling on me each beat. It was so bad. Ive had some baddies since but none of that mmagnitude since then and thankfully the 2nd trimester seems to have evened them out.

If they're still bad enough though for you there are some medications they will prescribe to you. They gave me proprananol. Luckily when I got it the headaches had sorta started to taper off so I didn't have to take it. But a neurologist gave them to me...knowing I was pregnant.

A few women on here Ive told me about reglan (i think that's it,sorry for spelling) which is not a class c. Safe for pregnancy l. Propranolol is class c. Which is why I decided to hold off in the end.

But before I talked to the neurologist I spent my days with sunglasses on,avoiding perfumes and strong smelling food. I took to drinking a ton of water every day and that aeemed to help! I also found that when I slept better....and longer I got less headaches.
Tylenol washed down with coffee for the caffeine to give it that extra kick really helped sometimes.

I began to notice what one coming on felt like and I would go lay down in my room, lights off just hoping it wouldn't kick into full swing!
I managed.

Its been so much better now that I did start a seasonal job for the holidays. Couldn't even think about that before...

Im so sorry you're dealing with this. Its awful I know! Id rather give birth than have a migraine. Seriously. I hope you find relief <3
