I had the mirena in for 3 yrs as well. Except my menstrual cycle was very irregular, I even had a period that lasted 3 months. Well, in September 2012 I had the same symptoms, especially the tender breasts.  I took a pregnancy test, and it turns out I'm pregnant. Had my iud removed the next day. I am 32 weeks pregnant now. So it doesn't hurt to check with the Dr to be sure! Good luck and keep us updated!

I had mirena in for 3 1/2 years, towards the ending my period picked up a bit and had cramps again. It might have moved, mine didn't but sometimes that happens. I am now TTC my 3rd child and after I have the baby I will be getting para guard or just birth control pills IUDs are just scary. But if your not in pain you should be fine. Best of luck
