miscarriage& ovulation question plz help if u can relate

When did u ladies ovulate after ur miscarriage?  And did you have a cycle before getting pregnant again?  I had a miscarriage this past Sept. And I still haven't had a cycle yet, I know it can take 4-6 weeks the longest 8 weeks. So how do u know if ur ovulating during that time and is it possible to ovulate more than one time before getting a cycle since its not a normal wait? My husband and I are ready to try again, this experience made us realize we want a baby more than we ever thought. I know some people tell u to wait but doctors only tell u to wait if it was a dnc and to heal emotionally, physically and to calculate due date. My m/c was natural and I was only 6-7 weeks. God bless

It would be fairly abnormal to ovulate more than once without having a menstrual cycle but not unheard of (that's where fraternal twins come from). The hormone levels have to drop back to normal to start the process which happens faster for some people than for others. My first miscarriage it took just about four weeks to start a regular period, having ovulated around 14 days (my normal is 10 days so a little farther out) and we waited four months to try again at which point we got pregnant on our first try. Three months later had a second miscarriage, it took about three weeks to ovulate after that one and nearly five weeks before I started a period. We only waited two cycles that time and I just got a BFP yesterday at 3w4d. Hoping this one will stick.
I would definitely suggest waiting for at least one normal period. I know it feels like forever. Trust me, I know. But your body really needs that bit of a break and returning to normal before starting the hormonal cycle again. My first period after each miscarriage was incredibly heavy. Clots, cramping, nasty stuff. Your body doesn't want to hold on to all of that stuff, it could possibly make it difficult for a blastocyst to implant if there's too much (more than normal) "waste product" sitting in your uterus waiting to be flushed out. If your doctor has given you the green light then it is up to you but I personally wouldn't start quite that early.
