How does contractions feel?im a first time mom to be.im 40weeks and 1day.
I been having painful menstrual cramps.
I asked my nurse the same question today and she told me that, contractions may feel like the muscle stretch after you do push ups or sit ups and it gets worse as labor progresses.
It feels like a heavy painful period
It can be different for everyone, sometimes women don't even feel them until they're far into the labor process. Mine felt like squeezing in my uterus, like a very painful menstrual cramp. Real labor contractions definitely take your breath away. My doctor said if the pain is bad enough where you can't walk or talk through it, it's time to go to Labor and Delivery.
