mommies with cats!!

So I bought my baby boys crib set it up put all of his bedding in it, and now my three cats won't stay out of it!! Has anybody had cats who do this and fixed it? I don't want their fur all over his blanket and sheets. I've already tried scaring them out of it with loud noises, picking them up and putting them out of the room, there's a queen size bed in the room too so they have something else to lay on but they still choose the crib.

My cats did the same crap ! Unfortunately I couldn't get them to stop lol so I ended up using the box it came in and layer it flat on top of the crib so they couldn't get access to it until my son was born  , and since my baby was born in end of march I took my kitty's and got them fixed and ended up making them outside kitties . Whitch they seem to love it better outside anyways lol but I wasn't going to choice them over the health of my handsome Lil man ♡
But if you do find some tricks please share

Try going to petsmart and asking for a spray. I can't remember what it's called but we can't smell it and cats absolutely hate it. Always worked with my cats when I had them. You get it in a can that you spray yourself or get the attachment thing that's motion activated and will spray it when they get close.... kind of like the motion activated scent sprayers for people.

I have the same problem lol. They dont like lemon so spray that on it. Some people say when the baby is in it they will stay away from it. Well they better do.

My cats have no fear of foil lol I tried that before and I just come home to them laying on the foil.

Id rather not do that. We have wood floors and the smell of vinegar makes me sick :/

You can buy a "crib tent" that goes over the top of the crib so that the cats stay out before and when baby is here. Also, from my experience, cats hate tin foil. So you could try laying some tin foil in the crib for a while and they may be deterred indefinitely from the crib. We have new couches and the cats have been avoiding then because of the foil lol. Eventually we will take the strips off and see how they do!

Good luck!

Someone said spray vinegar and water around the room and crib. That should work.
