upset that it's a boy

Found out we are having a boy last night.  I cried a lot and we are on vacation and will be bumming around and shopping a lot. I feel ok now but im worried if I come across little girl clothes or items I'll have a mini melt down in the middle of a crowded place :( yes, before you judge, of course I'm happy that baby is healthy, it is most important but I am so so sad.  I feel like a bad mom, but I can't help that I'm so upset. I already have a 5yr old son and he was happy for a baby brother but even when I was pregnant with him I was hoping for a girl.  I know we can always try again for a girl but I don't know if I want to put myself through this again because with my luck it will be 3 boys.  :(  any one else feel this way or any advice?

I wanted a boy more than anything so i convinced myself it had to be a girl. When I found out it was a boy I was ecstatic! And I thought hubby would be too, it's our first baby, but he was like OK. So we'll try for a girl next time. Apparently I'm the only one who cares what baby #1's gender is lol

I wanted a boy with my first and I got a boy. And now it's many years later and I really wanted a girl, and I am having a girl. But I know that if they would have told me its a boy, I would have been just as upset as you. My fiancé even said you're going to cry if its a boy aren't you? And I was like yes! As much as I would feel kinda bad about it I don't think I would be able to keep it in. Don't feel guilty. It's totally normal!

I was pretty bummed too when I found out I was having another boy but after awhile I got over it and got excited! I have a 7 year old daughter and a 5 year old son I was so sure I was going to have a girl but I'm not and now I'm 37 weeks and I been over it and all I hope for is a healthy baby!  I know it ***** at first but believe me it'll pass and when you feel your little man in there kickin around you will become excited and this feeling will only be a memory #Congrats #GoodLuck

Dont feel bad. I have three boys hoping for a girl this time. We decided not to find out because I cried and cried with the last one. I would see pink and moms with daughters and cry. I felt horrible and guilty. Then I had him and he is perfect wouldn't change him!

You're not a bad mom. This is my first pregnancy and secretly I was hoping it would be a boy since everyone I know is having a girl and my husband really wanted a boy. Since we found out it was a.girl it took a little while to get used to but the way I look at it I'm blessed to be able to carry a child and whatever it is as long as it's healthy that's all that matters. No one has the right to judge since everyone is secretly hoping for a gender over another. Look at it this way at least you'll still be the queen of your household :)

My hubby & I really wanted a girl too, but baby #1 is very obviously Team Blue. I thought I would be upset, but seeing my little man on that screen & feeling him move inside me, I know he's healthy & I love him so much already. Try not to let gender ruin the magic of this experience.

I feel your pain. I went for my 1st trimester scan at almost 14 weeks and she said not 100% but pretty sure boy. I kept telling myself it doesn't matter jusy want healthy baby...but now I'm hoping she's wrong...my oldest is getting a brother in August from her dad and stepmom and she has a brother from me already...and she wants a baby sister more than anything...we have our gender appointment next week and I'm hoping for a girl. You're not alone!

Don't feel as though your a bad mom... we all have our preferences on what we want. .. I desperately wanted a baby boy.... and cried when the tech said it was a girl... I have a little girl already and wanted a son... hubby and I decided 2 kids and that was it... so I'll never have a son... with the way this pregnancy has gone... there is no way in hell I would go for round 3

I'm pregnant with my first and due the day after my birthday, I want a mini me so damn bad and I know I'll cry if I find out I'm having a boy. My sister and sister in law have boys,  my cousin is now pregnant with a boy and I just want my little Aubrey. I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and I'm paying for an elective scan at 19 weeks just to find out!  I don't think it's bad to react with tears at all, it happens!

I want a boy soooo bad, so I'm sure it will be a girl lol. Like all of you, of course I will be happy that the baby is healthy, no matter what is is. But teenage girls scare me lol. I don't know that I'm cut out for that. We'll find out in 6 weeks! I also wanna give my man a son. He already has a son and two daughters but there is this special bond he has with his son that just makes my heart melt. I'm sure he is a big softy with his girls too but he just keeps that on the down low, he is very masculine. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has strong opinions about this. I said it at the fertility clinic and I swear I was almost shunned lol.

I honestly want another girl this time, half for the convenience of already having girly necessities and half because I'm not sure how to have a boy! I have four nieces, my daughter, and my nephew. One boy of six! I'm ninety percent sure I'm having a boy though ñ just a gut feeling, and I'm trying to be okay with that.

I have 2 boys and was praying  for a girl this time and of course it is another boy.  I was fine when we found out and everything that is until my boyfriend wanted to go shopping soon as we left the ultrasound and I walked into nothing but baby girl clothes....can I say major meltdown... .I cried and I am sure people thought I was crazy.    Just from experience you will soon be happy it is another boy.  Congrats!

I know how you feel. My whole 20 weeks I was told i was having a boy, we wanted a boy sooo bad. When the lady said it was a girl I broke down crying and left the room lol. My bf told me that it didn't matter, it just meant we can again next time. He's in love with her already and she's not even here yet :) over time you will ease up. It took me a while, I saw little boys clothes and cried cause of it. But my bf was having a blast picking out littles dresses and bows haha so that helped a lot too :) we both are now head over heels having a girl, our little Lahna love!  It's our miracle baby after all!

My husband really wanted a boy cause we already have a girl and I knew he wanted a boy the first time I cried when I told him it was a girl...I only tried again because of him I didn't want any more children cause I knew it would be a girl and sure enough 20wks with girl #2. ...it's awful that I couldn't make him happy but I really don't know what I would do with a boy so I'm getting my tube ties after this one and being done! He will have sons one day when they get married!  Lol (thats what I tell him, btw he doesn't like that comment) good luck I think when we hope for something to much we end up with the opposite!  My brother in law has 4 boys my mil had 3 boys my mom has 2 girls and my cousin has 5 boys find the good side I have the only girls on my husband's side of the family in 2 generations!
