mucus plug?

I know that everyone is different when it comes to this, but I need opinions. I think some of mine came out. I'm 28 weeks with twins and about 3cm dilated. Does it look like a snot with some pink in it? Can it come out in chunks?( cause two chunks that looked the same came out today). Just needing some opinions. I'm not a first time mom. I just don't really remember plus it's twins this time. Lol....  Thanks Bunches

Well if I came out pinkish it would be your bloody show. Since you're already starting to dilate I would give you doctor a call and ask them if you should come in or not. If it is your bloody show you might still not go into labor for days or weeks but calling your doctor would put your mind at ease.

It is possible for the mucus to replenish. I have been having little bits and pieces coming out for weeks (I'm 29 weeks now) but since I'm not known to go into preterm labor I think it's just replenishing.

Id say yes it was. My multiples run in my family and ive heard that to be the case on many occasions.  Ive never had twins but am on my 3rd pregnancy.  And that sounds right on the money for the mucus plug. Mine always looked like snot and the first time was tinged pink. Took about a week but came out in chunks.

That does sound like your MP but you should call your doctor because I have read that when it is tinged with blood that means labor is near(bloody show) but if it is not then, yes, it will replenish or could still be weeks away from labor. Good luck, congrats on twins, I always wanted twins!

I'm a ftm but heard that you can lost little bits if it (I think I have) and as long as your cervix isn't open your body kind if remakes/replenishes it, when you actually lose the plug you'll know, its a big thickness ball if the mucas. Again, just what I've heard
