Be glad you passed it i had to do 2 glucose tests since i found out i was pregnant. And they found out i have gestational diabetes now i have to check my glucose levels 5x's a day. Feel blessed. You may not develop it and if you have a family history you could be more likely to but, it's not a definite yes. Just be mindful of what you eat and drink. Drink plenty of water.

Hey hun. Don't stress. I am ALWAYS tested for diabetes because I'm over weight. I always pass by .4....the top level is 7.8 and I was 7.4. All 3 of my kids have been like this. But my fasting rate is extremely good, 3.4! And that was after a coffee and chocolate freddo frog!!! So don't stress. Keep eating healthy. And look forward. If you develop gestational diabetes it's not your fault. These things happen. All you can do is control how you deal with it.

When do you get your 1st test and what happens during it?.. My appointment is next week and I asked the doctor how long would it be she told me 3 hours... Did I miss something?

I failed my 1st and passed the 3 hour one by only by a smidgen. My little one came naturally 3 weeks early and was 7.12 so they think I probably would have had a big baby if I had gone to 40 weeks besides that all was good!

Thats what I thought that you only get tested once but she said they test their expecting mothers a second time between 24-28wks..I don't have insurance so this is a midwife at my local clinic, it just upset she made me feellike I hhave it even though I dont she even set up appointments  with a nutritionist and sent in the gestational diabetes lady to talk to me..
