my cat and the crib

Does anyone have any reasonable suggestions on how to keep my cat out of the crib? I don't want to get a crib tent, and my cat is family also so I'm not getting rid of her like others have suggested... I've read that vinegar works, so were trying that, but I'm looking for a backup plan just in case. Also I don't want to use any chemicals...

Water bottle can work if cat doesn't like water squirt a few times & eventually just shaking bottle will scare or train kitty. I leave my bottle near crib & he gets it - war is on!

I thought I was going to have a problem also with my cat but to my surprise she has not gone inside the crib. It is placed away from windows so she has no need to get on to jump on windows. I planned on doing the aluminum thing if there was going to be a problem. Maybe also create a special spot for her to sleep thats in another room so that becomes her go to place instead of nursery. Good luck :)

There was a discussion awhile back someone in same situation and one person suggested aluminum foil all over inside it will annoy the cat to where they don't want in may just have to keep en eye on them anyways when baby comes since obviously u won't put baby on foil

If your cat hates water then get a squirt bottle and fill it with water. Then every time she gets on or in or near the crib squirt her. It may take a little bit but she will get the message. We do that with our cat when he goes or does what he isn't supposed to do. Hope that helps.
