labor story!

HI ladies, just wanted to share my birth story so other moms can get an idea what to expect. Keep in mind every women and pregnancy is different. This was my second pregnancy after 10 years. I had my first born at 39+1 weeks. He was 8 pounds 7 ounces. I was given pitocin and some other medicine that caused me to be drowsy and fell asleep. Then the nurse proceeded to wake me up and said "mami time to push" and when I woke up I felt some horrible pain and pushed eight times. Well I thought my second one was going to be easy. I started having mild contraction every 8 minutes the whole day on Thursday and again the next day when I got up at 9am. I went to the hospital at 10pm and they were still 8 minutes aparts lasting 40 seconds but I wasn't dilated or effaced. So they sent me home. Then in the morning of the next day Friday, they were 5 minutes aparts and lasting 55 seconds. The contractions were getting stronger and longer. Finally,  I went to the hospital again around 11am and I was dilated 4cm and 80 percent effaced. The contraction were getting worse. My husband and I were doing the breathing techniques they taught us in birthing classes, and our goal was to go pain free medication and no pitocin (Since pitocin makes contractions stronger). I was already in intense pain. Then my doctor came in at 1:15pm to check me I was 7cm dilated and he broke my water. Hell broke lose after that! I had the worst excruciating pain ever! I was screaming for that epidural! I was screaming my lungs out I totally lost control. Then all of a sudden like 5 nurses came running in the room as well as my doctor when they heard me screaming like crazy. A nurse got in my face telling me to look at her to try to relax but I couldn't control it then she told me " by you doing that you cutting oxygen to the baby. Then I told her I gotta push!My body had the urgency to just push on itself.I push again and the baby head came out. Mary Giselle Garcia was born at 1:30pm with no epidural or pitocin. And she was only 5 pounds 6 ounces! I don't remember being this bad with my first.
