my labor story

I was contracting ever 15 minutes and passing blood Friday afternoon so my doctor sent me to L&d. By the time I got there my contractions were ever 10 minutes. They sent me home and said to return when contractions are 3-5. On my way home they were ever about every 7 minutes.  I return at 11pm because they were ever 5min. They sent me home again stating that I only 1 cm dilated. I was in so much pain by now,I couldn't sleep I couldn't even sit still. And I didn't want to keep going back to the hospital. 3am I couldn't take it no longer. So I jumped in a cab and went back. They had in the waiting area for a while because it was very crowded. By the time they checked me. They had to rush me to admission. I was fully effaced and 7 cm dilated with contractions 2min apart. And my water broken. My doctor got there by 6am and my baby girl was in 10 minutes of her arrival. She was born at exactly 40 weeks on my birthday. The best birthday gift ever.

Congratulations on the arrival of your daughter!! That is a wonderful birthday gift! My younger brother was born on my mom's birthday and he always tell her he was her greatest gift! :) Take care and best of luck!
