I get gel nails and a pedi faithfully every two weeks and my baby is just fine!

You can get them done. The reason the Dr's don't like them is because when you're in the hospital they put a monitor on your finger to check your oxygen levels during labor.  Fake nails hinder that ability.

yes you can there is nothing wrong with it.. Its not like you have a job doing nails breathing the chemicals everyday. once every week or two will not hurt.

I get my nails done every 3-4 weeks make sure is a well vented salon so no matter what time you go in there are no fumes

Acrylics are always on my nails. It's my treat every 2-3wks. A bit of pampering makes you feel good. I've never experienced any problems having them done. Go for it. Us mummy's deserve it from time to time x

I've gotten mine done and refilled the while pregnancy also! Acrylic and any time of day I can get there when it needs to be done! And my toes so I'd say keep looked good!

I get gel nails and they're safe I had read that acrylic aren't a good idea due to fumes.

I have gotten mine done my entire pregnancy. Just make sure to go first thing in the morning when the chemicals are not as strong. Also try to sit by a door. I'm 38 weeks and got a fill in yesterday.
