Ok thanks ladies. And yeah I was thinking maybe I had that vasospasm.. I'm not to sure. I am definately going to talk to my doctor though. I am not in horrible pain. .I can still breast feed. I Just Wanna catch it before it does get bad.
@schmalzy look up "nipple vasospasm" see if that sounds like what you might have
Sounds like you new jack newmans nipples cream. Works wonders! Ask your dr about it.
Burning and itching also!
I have the same exact thing going on...sore pink nipples and baby has diaper rash. Im meeting with a lactation consultant tuesday to see whats going on
I've heard that you can still breast feed if you have it as long as both you and baby get treated at same time but I will ask doctor for sure. Thanks. Maybe I Don't even have it..I'm not to sure. But I'm going to get checked just incase.
When i had thrush they stayed white... but maybe it's different for everyone. And your baby should definitely have it too. Just keep looking i. The babies mouth from time to time. And when you get an appointment the dr will proscribe you and the baby something. But you won't be able to breast feed rill it clears, or you two will keep spreading it back and forth if it is thrush. If you don't have a pump already i suggest getting one. After I had thrush and we were getting treated i pumped and after my baby didn't want to breastfeed anymore. But that was 12yrs ago. Maybe they came up with something else to continue to breast feed since then.
They Do turn white but then go back to pink after. Would that still be thrush? Do they have to stay white?
Do you have white patches on your nipples? Thrush will leave your nipples with white patches too.
Also the burning and itching could be caused by a bad latch. Or your laundry detergent because now that your breastfeeding your nipples are now more sensitive so if you are wearing a bra wash them then after re wash them but only with water.
