My doctors office normally only does vaginal ultrasounds at the 7-8 week appointment ...with my first child I was super skinny so they did it from the belly (but they said if this doesn't work we will have to do an internal) Good luck

I heard my first babys heartbeat at 7 weeks jist doing an ultrasound (not vaginally) but everyoneis different. They should have done one vaginally. However, I would go to the er just to be on the same side. Good luck!

The Dr's lil thing they use is not advance to hear heart beat so early. If u get a ultrasound they'll hear it. My dr. tired @ 11wks n couldn't hear mines. But I got a ultrasound @ 9 wks n they heard just fine! But ur spotting n cramps should be checked I believe. Hope u feel better.

They did an ultrasound on ur belly? I thought they would do a vaginal ultrasound with you being just 9 weeks. If any doubts, go get checked out. And as far as the baby, the baby could be too small to see a heartbeat with doing a regular ultrasound. I was 3 weeks when I found out I was preggo and when they did the ultrasound, there was no heartbeat bc the baby was so tiny and everything was just beginning to form. Good luck, keep us posted

I would go if u want to know what's going on. They would do an ultrasound where they could c the fluttering heart.
