Try to find natural calm, they have it for pregnancy. My chiropractor carries it. It is a drink mix of magnesium and calcium. They have different flavors and it works like magic in a few short hours. No bloating or feeling sick.

My OB says to use metamucil, that miralax should only be taken if all else fails.
Personally the only the that would work for was the miralax.
Def talk to you Doc or midwife, different docs have different views on taking different over the counter meds

I feel you girl. I am 22wks and I get so constipated its been like this from the get go for me. So I wouldnt stop complaining to my obgyn,  and she finally gave me prescription for stool softener.  But I would also drink orange juice and apple juice and it help a bit. But fiber is the best. Good luck! And stay alway from the laxative that sound frightening.

I used miralax for when I couldn't use the bathroom. It helps have a bm but it isn't over whelming. Now I eat a lot of fiber(mostly cereal) and water. Seems to help
