Go get a huge fruit smoothie with extra fiber added (try to get one that doesn't have dairy or sherbet in it...all fruit). Once you drink the whole thing you might go...always worked for me.

I was severely constipated around 25 weeks. I could barely stand it was that painful! I tried EVERYTHING for over a week..prune juice, colace, chipotle, prunes, apple juice,miralax...nothing. the ONLY thing that helped me immediately was a enema..instant relief! Talk to your doctor about it first tho if nothing else works!

I take colace every morning and night just to keep my bowel movements easy and i take milk of magnesia to gonif i havent in a while. I also do an enema like once a week just to clear myself out. Ive had terrible hemmoroids this pregnancy and my doctor gave me a regimen to follow. I eat a ton of fiber and go regularly which can take a while but once you get it routine its a life savor especially for the first poo after baby.

My doctor recommends prunes. She also said milk of mag is safe to use but to use sparingly. And lastly she said you can use colace but it takes time for it to work.

Colace doesn't work for me unfortunately.  I've tried it three different times.  I use milk of magnesia and it has me going the next day.

You can take metamucil or colace. Apple juice works great but i can't stomach it so i just use the colace
