Help!! Tmi Question!!

Okay so I am having a hard time having a bowel movement. I mean it's there and I have the urge to go but it's a little too hard to work its way out n literally it's only coming out in small skittles size piece's and it's horrible. I'm so miserable:( it's been a good 3-4 days since I've had a full regular movement. I can't do glycerine sticks bc my body doesn't react well to them either. Any good technique or advice yo get it out so I can move the rest done threw my bowels? Yes this is a little too much info but I don't care as I'm sure someone has a good tip to get it goin..help please!

Try drinking hot apple cider, on an empty stomach. I've  had terrible constipation my whole pregnancy. Nothing worked to relieve it. I drank a few cups of the powdered alpine mix, and it set things moving right along. Kinda wish i had stumbled onto the discovery sooner. I've gone through 2 other pregnancies being constantly constipated.

Im a big miralax fan, and for some reason mini wheats or other high fiber cereal help. And movement really helps like going for a walk. Hang in there. I know how miserable it is ive gone a week plus before. It will come out eventually!!

I've mentioned this method before on a similar post. It sounds gross, but it works. I was on pain meds after surgery for a while and antibiotics and I got super constipated. It was like you, it was there but wouldn't come out, except in small pieces. I read before of using your fingers through your vagina to work it down and out since your vagina lays against the rectum. It works! Any time I have constipation I do that and itit always works. And you don't have to worry about what you can take during pregnancy or wait for it to take effect.

Colace didn't work for me unfortunately.  I spent a day eating nothing but fruit and veggies.  Skipped my prenatal vitamin.  Used milk of magnesia and drank several glasses of hot water.  I got movement the next day.  Prune juice worked for a while but gave me too much gas.

Honey and prunes it made me gag (more the texture of the prunes than the taste) it was about 6 days before I went after half a bag of prunes covered in honey an orange and apple and a carton of oj 6 hours sleep and it worked.

As the other commenter said, colase and water are good. High fiber oatmeal also helped me. I eat two servings every time I'm in your situation. You can get fiber supplement pills, but eating the double serving of high fiber oatmeal actually gets you a lot more fiber. Grapes also help. Try not to eat things like bananas or other foods that can stop you up.

Use colace it's a softener and it helps along with extra water. My OB had me use it, it took a few days also if you take prenatal I would stop for a few days. Good luck
