not sure..(tmi)

So I have been having severe constipation. It's been going on for 2 months now and I've had to use suppositories, along with taking fiber gummies. The suppositories have always worked, and when I started taking the fiber gummies no longer needed them (so I thought) with all of this going on I've also had anal fissures. Well today my stomach has had gut wrenching pain because I can't have a bowl movement, so I took a suppository and still couldn't go. I now have a hemorrhoid. Anyone else have it this bad, and should I go to the ER before it gets worse??

I was just talking to my ob yesterday about how common hemmeroids and constipation can be during pregnancy. Because unfortunately I have had a problem with both of those issues for years without being pregnant. So she was kind of warning me that it could get way worse. Im only 6 weeks along and already got backed up for 6 days. I started taking 200mg colace and she suggested milk of magnesia but the Colace seems to be working for now. And she also said that Hemmeroid creams should be safe too, cause when they are a problem its even harder to go to the bathroom. Good luck.

I would stop taking the zofran for a little bit just to see if that might help. When i stopped taking it...it helped me become regular again... since you've been having this for a while now I would at least check with a doc and see whats up.

High fiber diet. Lots and lots of fluids.
If it still persist your doctor can prescribe you something.
It is not uncommon and many women need surgery to have them removed after birth.

I think I'm going to suck it up, and eat prunes(fresh) and see how it goes. I am also taking zofran, which I'm sure is the main cause of my constipation.

Im 10 weeks and have had horrible gas/ constipation. I almost went to the er a few weeks back because the pain was so bad! My doctor and friends that have been through the same thing while pregnant told me that you have to use a product with the main ingredient polyethylene glycol. You can have 17grams a day its the main ingredient  in miralax also you can take dulcolax stool softner. Ive had good results with just taking the miralax in the morning with juice and its really helped. Good luck!

Hemorrhoids are really common in pregnancy, get some medicated wipes or a natural remedy is apple cider vinegar. Soak a cotton ball and dab it, or take a bath with apple cider vinegar.
